Norm, first of all, congrats!! That's nice machine, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. :)
Secondly, where did you get it out of curiousity? You say "shipped to me in a few weeks" is it coming from a long way away?
Best of luck. ....

Thanks. I live in Sudbury, 4 hour north of Toronto. I found this one In Trenton witch is 2 hours east of Toronto. Not very many of this units available in Ontario. I was going to go get it with my tandem 5X14 trailer(no brakes) and My old 94 Chevy truck , but I think the trip would take away a few years off my truck life.

Norm, if you want it any faster than a few weeks just give me a whistle, to shoot out to Trenton is not a big deal, and I get up to near Parry Sound on a very regular basis.
From there to your place isn't much of a run at all.
Depending on how much their charging you for delivery, it might be a MUCH better deal. ;)
Best of luck. ....

Norm, there is no one here better than Murf to give you tips you asked for.
Is this something totally new to you? If so get to know it in safe situation first. Machines can be damaged, people hurt and killed so quickly by a roll over or tipping one. If you don't know the maintance of it then I would want to be sure all suggested by Kubota for the amount of hours has been done. If you have the manual, read it at least twice. Operate and then read again. They can have some good points in them. Enjoy and as Murf said congrats and welcome to tp. kt ....

Green as green can be!!!I rented a skidsteer last year....fun but I was jerky but ...fun. I operated a baby escavtor 15 years ago, don't remember operting controls but fun fun fun. Like I said ANY tips would help. I thinking slow and easy at 1st, diging dirt up and moving it around. Then ROCKS.
Murf, thank you very much, you are a nice guy. I don't believe what everybody else says about you!!!! hehe. My brother-inlaw works for a truck company, may take a month, did not give me a price. He call in some connections and got $500.00 to Sudbury for an other company (towing). I would like it tommorrow!!!! but the wife would not be OK with me digging up the yard. I'll wait and see, if I get impatient I'll pay the $500. I don't think that's bad. I just drove it won't do it again.

Norm, as long as you stick to that slow & steady till you get the hang of it, I'm sure you'll be just fine.
If you do get impatient however, just whistle, like I said, it's not that far out of my way. I'm heading south next week, but will be back before months end, I'm just not sure exactly when yet.
Best of luck. ....
